Are you looking for a fun day trip with the kids? Consider driving down to Wabasha, MN and stop at the National Eagle Center located along the mighty Mississippi. This museum is home to injured, non-releasable bald eagles and golden eagles and welcomes visitors from around the world who come to see these majestic raptors in real life. During your visit you can view eagles up-close, experience life in an eagle's nest, and test your strength and talents as compared to an eagle. Everyday, the center hosts live eagle programs with information about eagles and a visit with one of their birds. The naturalist educators here are very friendly and happy to answer all of your questions throughout the museum.
The museum is open year-round (except Thanksgiving, Christmas eve, Christmas, and Easter Sunday) from 10:00am-5:00pm.
